Volcano

Rachel, Marie, and I went to visit some other 'M' friends and one of our teacher's family for a weekend in a beautiful village. Seeing all the farm land, mountains, and stars was magnificent! I almost forgot what it was like to experience quietness and cool weather.

One of the sweetest blessings for me this weekend was spending time with a wonderful family. I enjoyed a late conversation with Sarah talking about our Father and watching her teach SS to the children on Sunday. I also loved playing with her kids and some of the their friends. No matter what language you speak you can always show His love through a smile and laughter.

Breathtaking isn't it?!

Marie, Rachel, me, Ibu Kristina (teacher), and Ibu Mary (Kristina's sister)

Our teacher is from this village and was so kind to allow us to stay in her home and treat us like family. Sunday morning we woke up at 3am to go see the sunrise over the mountains and volcano's!

After seeing the sunrise and taking a ton of photos we then rode a horse up a crater of a volcano. Crazy fun!

The horse could only take us so far. . .where is the elevator?

The crater.

Inside the volcano. If you are like me back in 4th grade you made a volcano. Next time some child makes one be sure to tell them that they need to make it smell like rotten eggs!

Ibu Kristina's family were wonderful hostesses! Part of the way they receive guest is by cooking a large meal for them and then leaving them to eat by themselves.
